The Heineken Regatta St Maarten, runs in 2024 from February 29th to March 3rd; (GYR Training Day February 28th). This world renowned sailing event offers World Class Racing, with trade winds coming from the North East, an average temperature of 25°C and crystal clear waters. This event is included in our Caribbean Traineeship Programme.

Where?
The Heineken Regatta takes place at Sint Maarten which is the smallest inhabited island in the world divided between two nations, the French and the Dutch and this lends the island a unique air. Fantastic sailing conditions, a dedicated race village, great marinas and anchorages and vibrant shore life top of the picture. Our campaign base is the race village marina right on the doorstep of all the sailing and shore side activities.
Details of our Heineken Regatta package
A day of intensive race training and boat handling skills followed by three days of great round the cans and coastal racing. Accommodation is available on board, on a first come first served basis, for the duration of the event and we provide breakfast and lunch.

Why we love Heineken Regatta
What makes the Heineken regatta such as great event that we keep returning to it? It could be due to the awesome turquoise colour of the water around St Martin, it could be the great mix of intense windward leeward racing mixed with short coastal racing (very tactical) or it could be the superb nightlife, great bands both local and international, or perhaps it’s the beer. Most definitely it’s February and if you ain’t in the Caribbean then you are way too cold!
