The Heineken Regatta takes place at Sint Maarten* which is the smallest inhabited island in the world divided between two nations, the French and the Dutch and this lends the island a unique air. Fantastic sailing conditions, a dedicated race village, great marinas and anchorages and vibrant shore life top of the picture. Our campaign base is the race village marina right on the doorstep of all the sailing and shore side activities.
A day of intensive race training and boat handling skills followed by three days of great round the cans and coastal racing. Accommodation is available on board, on a first come first served basis, for the duration of the event and we provide breakfast and lunch.
What makes the Heineken regatta such as great event that we keep returning to it? It could be due to the awesome turquoise colour of the water around St Martin, it could be the great mix of intense windward leeward racing mixed with short coastal racing (very tactical) or it could be the superb nightlife, great bands both local and international, or perhaps it’s the beer. Most definitely it’s February and if you ain’t in the Caribbean then you are way too cold!
