ROUND BRITAIN AND IRELAND RACE

About the Round Britain & Ireland Race event:

The Round Britain and Ireland Race (RBI) is one of the most challenging events in the offshore racing calendar and occurs just once every four years! Global Yacht Racing offer individual crew places and whole boat charters for this epic challenge. We offer a full race package that ensures crew train together on the boat entered into the race. This results in our teams being not only ready to tackle this unique event but also able to be competitive in their class.

When?

The campaign will start in July with a training weekend followed by the RORC St Malo race and a second training weekend in late July. All crew will also be offered the ISAF Sea Safety course prior to the Round Britain and Ireland Race.

Where?

The course includes the famous headlands of the south west of England. The epic adventure continues into the Celtic Sea, past the Fastnet Rock and Mizen Head, onto the wild west coast of Ireland. The Atlantic racing continues past St Kilda, up to the most northerly point of the course, Out Stack at Muckle Flugga on the 61st parallel. Then, turning south through the infamous North Sea, the fleet turn their bows for home. The English Channel and Solent form the final stages of the marathon race.
