ROUND BRITAIN AND IRELAND RACE

About the Round Britain & Ireland Race event:

The Round Britain and Ireland Race (RBI) is one of the most challenging events in the offshore racing calendar and occurs just once every four years! Performance Yacht Racing have all their yachts available for this epic challenge. We offer a full race package that ensures crew train together and have the minimum experience requirement of 500 nautical miles of RORC offshore racing, on the boat entered into the race. This results in our teams being not only ready to tackle this unique event but also able to be competitive in their class.

Where?

The course includes the famous headlands of the south west of England. The epic adventure continues into the Celtic Sea, past the Fastnet Rock and Mizen Head, onto the wild west coast of Ireland. The Atlantic racing continues past St Kilda, up to the most northerly point of the course, Out Stack at Muckle Flugga on the 61st parallel. Then, turning south through the infamous North Sea, the fleet turn their bows for home. The English Channel and Solent form the final stages of the marathon race.
