Race Charter
Designed by the naval architectural duo Andrieu & Verdier and constructed entirely using an infusion moulding process, the Sun Fast 3300 benefits from exceptional rigidity, with a considerable weight reduction. Due to its light, powerful hull, twin rudders and straight keel, this new Sun Fast can combine speed and stability in any sea conditions. Perfectly adapted to single-handed, double-handed or fully crewed racing, the Sun Fast 3300 will prove to be a tough competitor, whether racing inshore or offshore. Gentoo is a 2020 build and comes with a carbon rig. She has an extensive racing sail wardrobe all new for 2020!
Coding and crew numbers
This Sunfast 3300, Gentoo, is ISAF coded for Cat. 2 offshore racing. She can race with up to 7 but usually races with 5 crew plus the skipper. Gentoo is chartered with an owner’s representative who is also the skipper and an Olympic 2024 hopeful James Harayda!

2020 Winner Sailing World “Boat of the Year”
We are very proud to add this yacht to our charter fleet and offer the chance to race alongside it’s talented, young skipper James Harayda. In 2024, there is hope that a Mixed Double Handed Offshore event will be incorporated in the Paris Olympics. In short: two people, one yacht, 24 hours of offshore racing. James, one of our traineeship graduates, along with Ella Boxall has been fortunate to have been given the opportunity to compete for Britain in the very first Olympic test event for this class.
Join our own Olympic hopeful, James, to experience some thrilling racing on this brand new yacht! Podium results are sure to follow – be there to be the first!
Race charter availability
This yacht is available for a range of UK and European events including yacht regattas and offshore races in UK such as Round the Island race, Cowes Week and JOG races. She may also be available for Cork Week and the RORC series. Ask us for a quote now.
